In this workshop, we will discuss the many benefits (linguistic, academic and emotional) of reading aloud to students. Next, looking at several available books, we explore ways reading aloud is used to make connections to other subjects, topics and real life issues. Finally, we will read excerpts from the chosen book modeling best-practice read aloud techniques.
